V.1.E.3.

January 31st 2012.

I got asked the question the other day, "Why do you love sports so much?"

So I thought long and hard and this is what I came up with.

I love sports because there is nothing like watching a 2-2 fastball being parked in the home run porch.

I love sports becasue there's nothing like seeing a Tiger Woods fist pump, love him or hate him.

I love sports because there's nothing like watching Derek Holland pull the string on an 0-2 curve to strike out the side.

I love sports because of my Mom and Dad.

I love sports because watching Dirk Nowitzki hit a turn-around baseline jumper to win the game gives chills.

I love sports because of the underdog.

I love sports because of Michael Young.

I love sports because of Eric Nadel.

I love sports because of 1000 Ballpark Way.

I love sports becasue there is nothing better than watching a baseball game with the ones you love the most.

I love sports because of Jamey Newberg.

I love sports because words cannot even describe watching Josh Hamilton deposit moonshots in the bleachers on a warm June evening.

I love sports because of pennant races.

I love sports because of David Murphy.

I love sports because of the magic that 2010 and 2011 brought to my team and made many years of losing completely worth the wait.

I love sports because canning a 30- footer for birdie or stuffing an approach shot gives you a surreal superman feeling, if only for a little while.

I love sports because they make me happy.

I love sports because sabermetrics is fun.

I love sports because of the Texas Rangers.

I love sports because of the 1980 US Hockey Team.

I love sports because of Francis Ouimet.

I love sports because of Colt McCoy.

I love sports because of how emotionally invested I get.

I love sports because of Roy Hobbs.

I love sports because of Chuck Morgan.

I love sports because of "I Like Texas" by Pat Green.

I love sports because they are my passion.

I love sports because no matter how many times they break my heart, they always piece it back together. Always.

I love sports because God made me that way.

That's why I love sports.
